Congregation Events — Mon, 01/28/2008 - 22:16
The first of our annual Lenten Family Nites will take place on February 10th at 6:00pm with subsequent "Nites" every Sunday through March 9th. This year we will be discussing volume six of the video series by That The World May Know Ministries, entitled In The Dust of the Rabbi: Becoming a Disciple. Dinner and child care will be provided. Everyone is welcome!
In the Dust of the Rabbi: Becoming a Disciple
"Follow a rabbi, drink in his words, and be covered with the dust of his feet," says the ancient Jewish proverb. Disciples followed so closely that they would be covered with the dust kicked up by the rabbi's feet. Come, discover how to follow Jesus, as you walk with teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan through the breathtaking terrain of Israel and Turkey and explore what it really means to be a disciple.

bria900 — Mon, 11/23/2009 - 00:48travelled down to the rural south where I met a pastor and his wife who have an outreach to young toshiba laptops Coptic girls. Many of these girls have joined the youth group, studied the Bible and turned to Christ. However, many of these girls have suffered abuse from family members, and the couple have struggled to show the girls how loved they hp laptops are by God because of this. Persecution may also start for these Coptic girls when they have a life-changing encounter with Christ and begin living out their newly discovered faith, as this can sometimes anger the Muslim community. Some are raped by Muslim men so that they are considered ‘soiled’ and then forcibly married to Muslim boys. Some have been kidnapped by refurbished laptops Muslim men. Others have been offered a financially comfortable life if they convert to Islam and marry a Muslim, escaping the poverty which most Coptic Christians endure.
